ART+CHÂTEAU

WHAT WE DO

art+château conceives and produces exhibitions, performances, publications and public programmes at the intersection of contemporary art and cultural heritage.

Rather than treating historic architecture as a backdrop, we approach each site as an active curatorial partner. By inviting artists to engage with places shaped by history, memory and landscape, we create curated projects that generate new ways of experiencing both contemporary artistic practice and cultural heritage.

Working across Switzerland and internationally, we collaborate with artists, museums, collectors, foundations, galleries, estate owners and public institutions to realise ambitious projects beyond the traditional white cube.

HOW WE WORK

Each project is developed through close dialogue with artists and partner institutions and responds to the specific historical, architectural and social context in which it takes place.

Alongside exhibitions, we produce publications, conferences, performances and educational programmes that extend the conversation beyond the exhibition itself and engage diverse audiences.

OUR MISSION

We believe that contemporary art can activate historic places in unexpected ways.

By creating encounters between artists, heritage and the public, we foster dialogue across disciplines, cultures and generations while strengthening connections between local and international art scenes.
